Mega Million mania hits our area

The Mega Millions mania has hit our area and a local gas station is seeing a large increase in ticket sales.

“We have seen a lot of extra people buying tickets for the Mega Millions in the last couple days. Even our regular customers that buy the Powerball tickets are buying the Mega Millions this week,” Manager Cindy Feuerbach says.

The Mother Hubbard’s on Hickory Road in Davenport may be seeing that increase due to their recent success in winning tickets.

“We have had a lot of scratch ticket winners here as well.   We had a $100,000 winner this weekend.”

Many people that didn’t plan to buy a ticket when they walked in, but almost all left with one.  Many saying they just can’t miss out on the opportunity to win the half a billion dollar prize.

The drawing will happen Friday night.
