Holiday closings for City of Davenport | Business

DAVENPORT, Iowa--Several closings and changes for the City of Davenport in the upcoming week.

City of Davenport will observe New Year’s Day as a holiday on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.  All City of Davenport offices will be closed.

Public Works Center will be closed.

Police Department front desk and lobby area will be closed.

Library Main and Eastern branches will be closed Monday, December 31, 2012 and Tuesday, January 1, 2013.  Fairmount branch will be closed Sunday, December 30, Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1.

Parks and Recreation Department administrative offices and River’s Edge facility will be closed Tuesday, January 1.

Vander Veer Conservatory will be closed Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1.

Adler Theatre box office will be closed Tuesday, January 1.

Timed parking will not be enforced.   No charge to park at the Redstone parking ramp (101 Main Street), the RiverCenter parking ramp (102 East Second Street), and the Harrison Street parking ramp (202 Harrison Street).

CitiBus service will end one hour early on Monday, December 31; no CitiBus service on Tuesday, January 1.

Compost Facility will be closed Tuesday, January 1.

Garbage, recycling, bulky waste and yard waste will be picked up as scheduled on Monday, December 31.  Pickup for Tuesday through Friday will be one day later; Friday pickup will be on Saturday.  Yard waste collection, including live Christmas trees, ends for the season on Friday, January 11, 2013.  Please refer the solid waste collection calendar for further information.
