Students send care packages to soldiers
Seventh graders from Julie Bauer’s class at JFK Catholic School, 1627 W. 42nd Street in Davenport, will pack and ship 16 care packages to deployed soldiers Friday, February 18, 2011.
The students collected supplies and wrote thank you notes to the soldiers as part of a school project during the holiday season.
The project is part of Jason’s Box, an organization founded by Teri Johnson whose son, Corporal Jason Pautsch, was killed while serving in Iraq.
