Registered sex offender arrested for indecent exposure
Crime

A man listed on the Iowa sex offender registry faces new charges for indecent exposure and burglary.

Lance Henkel, 51, was arrested after being served a warrant Tuesday, June 19.

Police charged Henkel with two misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and one felony count of second-degree burglary.  Investigators said Henkel could face additional charges because of his recent behavior.

Police said the charges are connected to two incidents reported in the past three weeks, and that Henkel drove different vehicles during each incident.  Henkel also uses the alias of “Hank Henkel.”

Henkel is a registered sex offender in Iowa.  The registry lists him as homeless and says he is listed because of a 1997 conviction for indecent exposure.

Lance Henkel was held in the Scott County Jail without bond for his current charges.
