Park View mom accused of hitting child | Crime

PARK VIEW, Iowa--A Park View, Iowa, woman was arrested Friday for allegedly hitting her 5-year-old child.According to the Scott County Sheriff's Department, Daveshia Antionette Morgan was charged with child endangerment with injury, a class D felony.

Authorities says she struck her child repeatedly with open hands, closed fists and a belt causing bruising.

The investigation began on Wednesday, February 6 when school officials at Neil Armstron Elementary called police after finding welts and bruises on the child.

Ms. Morgan remains free on bond. The case remains under investigation.
