Four concrete patching projects near Davenport begin | Transportation
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Lane restrictions will be in place in the Davenport area due to concrete patching projects according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Davenport construction office.
The work will take place from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays at the following locations.
· Iowa 22: in both directions between Buffalo and Davenport
· Iowa 38: in both directions between Interstate 80 and Cedar County Road F-44 near Rochester
· U.S. 67: in both directions between Camanche and Clinton County Road E-50 north of Clinton
Work is also scheduled for both directions of U.S. 6 between Fairmount Street and Utica Ridge Road in Davenport from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
A 10-foot width lane restriction will be in place in the open lane. Flaggers and a pilot car will be used to assist traffic through the work zones. Motorists should expect delays. The roadways will return to normal traffic patterns when workers are not present.
These projects are expected to be completed by late September.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limits and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles and wear seat belts.
