Piano Celebration raises over $34,500 for Ronald McDonald House

- Abigail & Elizabeth is neat too (just not great quality) - their family used the Ronald McDonald house many times for surgery for one of the girls.

Maddy & Ben raised the most for Piano Celebration this year - brother/sister duo!

Former Miss Iowa Nikki White (now Luder), who is Dorothy White's great granddaughter (this year's Piano Celebration was dedicated to Dorothy White, she performed every year - she recently passed away at 97 years young).

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Piano Celebration, hosted by Piano for a Richer Life, was held April 21 and 22 at Northpark Mall in Davenport and raised over $34,500 for Iowa City’s Ronald McDonald House. Over 400 talented local celebrities, student pianists and piano enthusiasts of all ages performed at Northpark Mall with a dual purpose: to raise funds to support Ronald McDonald House and get the message out that piano study equals brain development.

Iowa City’s Ronald McDonald House serves the families of thousands of children suffering from critical conditions. The House receives no state or federal tax dollars, relying 100 percent on private gifts.

Numerous university studies prove that piano study leads to increased brain development, academic achievement and builds confidence while keeping you happy and healthy. “Piano Celebration helps to get the important message out – while raising substantial dollars for Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City,” Jim Foster, the spokesman for Piano for a Richer Life, said.

Over the past 10 years Piano Celebration has raised over $280,000 for Iowa City’s Ronald McDonald House.
